The buoy in Jordan is a NexSens CB-400 coastal data buoy, a state of the art piece of equipment.

SDL500 submersible data logger
EXO2 multi parameter sonde
Temperature string with sensors every 1 meter down to 16 m
Two Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) sensors at 0.6 m and 2.5 m depth
Construction of the buoy
Inner core of cross-linked poly ethylene foam with a tough polymer skin
Stainless steel frame
Three 10-watt unbreakable solar panels along with an 8.5 A-Hr rechargeable battery pack for powering the data logger and sensors
